Among the main topics discussed, the following key action areas were established:
✔️ Promotion of female talent and equal opportunities: Encouraging the participation of women in the engineering and architecture sectors, fostering equity and diversity.
✔️ Encouraging the use of artificial intelligence: Exploring and leveraging AI opportunities to enhance efficiency, productivity, and innovation in engineering and consulting.
✔️ Opening new international markets and strengthening existing ones: Promoting the global expansion of Galician companies, facilitating their access to new business opportunities abroad.
✔️ Boosting technological innovation and digitalization: Promoting digital transformation in the sector and facilitating the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
✔️ Defending the sector against the improper use of public entities such as INECO and TRAGSATEC: Ensuring fair competition for private sector companies against unfair competition from public entities.
A Sustainable and Competitive Future
For AGEINCO, having the support of the Xunta de Galicia is a key factor in advancing these strategic pillars and securing the future of engineering in the region. Public-private collaboration is seen as an essential driver for the evolution and strengthening of the sector.
We extend our gratitude to the President of the Xunta and the Minister for their hospitality and for their willingness to seek solutions to improve the engineering sector in Galicia.
