CEP and AGEINCO launch the first “From idea to action” Workshop

The Confederation of Employers of Pontevedra (CEP), in collaboration with AGEINCO, launch the first workshop of the programme, focusing on the practical application of project management and enabling technologies in engineering firms, technical consultancy companies, and technology service providers.

The event was opened by Javier Alonso, President of AGEINCO, who highlighted the importance of transforming the sector’s knowledge and technical capabilities into concrete projects that strengthen the competitiveness of Galician companies. In his speech, he emphasised the need to combine strategic vision, technology, and funding to turn ideas into real and executable initiatives.

Enabling Technologies Driving Innovation

The first part of the session focused on the role of enabling technologies in business transformation. Practical applications were explored in areas such as:

Artificial Intelligence and advanced data analytics
Digital twins and systems integration
Predictive maintenance and asset optimisation
Process automation and intelligent agents
Generative design and structural optimisation
Automated quality control through computer vision

Throughout the workshop, real engineering case studies were presented, highlighting that technology should be viewed as a strategic tool to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance safety, and create new business opportunities.

Key Funding Opportunities for Projects in 2026

The second part of the workshop focused on identifying and managing public funding opportunities. Topics covered included:

Types of grants and funding schemes, and their award criteria
Compatibility and accumulation of financial aid
Key requirements for project eligibility
Active funding calls related to digitalisation, R&D&I, investment, and employment

Participants also reviewed several funding programmes expected to be available in 2026, enabling companies to align their strategic projects with the support mechanisms available.
