AGEINCO Highlights the Value of Quality Engineering in Meeting with the City Council of Ourense

AGEINCO – the Galician Cluster Association of Engineering, Consultancy and Technology Services Companies – participated in an institutional meeting with the City Council of Ourense, where the strategic role of the sector in economic and regional development was discussed.

The meeting was attended by Marta Gallego, Secretary General of AGEINCO, and Javier Sopelana, Member of the Board of Directors and Director of Aquatica, together with the Mayor of Ourense, Gonzalo Pérez Jácome, and the Councillor for Public Works, Urban Services, Environment and Urban Planning, Francisco Lorenzo López.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on current challenges and potential areas of collaboration between the public and private sectors.

In this context, AGEINCO highlighted the importance of ensuring the quality of engineering services, emphasising the need for projects to be properly defined, adequately valued, and designed to generate a real and sustainable impact on society.

It was also stressed that high-quality engineering depends not only on technical expertise, but also on an environment that enables the development of efficient, innovative solutions aligned with the needs of the territory.

The meeting also reinforced AGEINCO’s commitment to continuing its collaboration with public administrations in promoting initiatives that strengthen the business ecosystem and contribute to the progress and development of Galicia.
