Galician engineering companies stand out in innovation, compared to engineering from other communities

The director of the Galician Innovation Agency, Patricia Argerey, recently participated in a working breakfast organized by the Cluster Association of Engineering, Consulting and Technological Services Companies of Galicia, AGEINCO, and highlighted the need for companies to innovate, whatever their size, to be competitive and endure over time.

Argerey has exposed the objective of the Galician Innovation Agency to collaborate in the development of a culture of business innovation, since the growth and competitiveness of the same, links directly with its R + D + i policy. The objective of the Agency is Galician SMEs, a very relevant part of the entire business fabric of Galicia.

Soon the GAIN aid map will be published until 2027, which will help the strategic planning of companies. But we must not forget the existence of other aid and funding also outside the Community, both at national level – from the Ministry of Science and Innovation – and at European level – Horizon Europe Programme. These aids, in addition to being very accessible and agile, have an important budget.

The director presented the current map of aid from the Galician Innovation Agency, related to service companies, according to the recruitment and retention of talent, knowledge centers, acceleration of startups, financing and business innovation.

The company Leyton, participant in the working breakfast, presented its work as advisors in the field of financing innovation and local taxes, being of special interest to engineering companies the bonuses to the Social Security for personnel dedicated to R + D + i.
