AGEINCO Attends the Inauguration of Carmen García Mateo as the First Female Rector of the University of Vigo

On Thursday, AGEINCO attended the inauguration ceremony of Professor Carmen García Mateo as Rector of the University of Vigo, held in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration on the Vigo campus.

The appointment of Carmen García Mateo marks a historic milestone for the University of Vigo, as she becomes the first woman to hold the position of Rector in the institution’s history. The ceremony brought together representatives from academia, business, public institutions, and civil society in an event of particular significance for Galicia’s academic community and the wider knowledge and innovation ecosystem.
