Yesterday our president, Daniel Prieto, attended together with the President of Cies, Ignacio Sánchez de mora, to the 60th anniversary dinner TECNIBERIA, through the invitation of its President Joan Franco.
The TECNIBERIA association brings together 89 private capital engineering companies with aggregate sales of 7,000 million euros and a professional workforce of 70,000 people. They have been representing the interests of the Engineering and Architecture Consulting sector in Spain and internationally for 60 years and act as an interlocutor between companies and public and private institutions.
More than 180 people from the world of engineering and other fields attended the event. The commemoration event, in addition to paying tribute to the 60 years of the Association, has also served to look to the future, reinforcing and promoting collaboration between its members under the motto ‘(re) definiendo el futuro juntos’.
During the event, President Joan Franco highlighted that “Engineering companies are called to act and be part of the solution that our society needs in the face of the systemic problems that surround us. From the strength of our companies, we offer a portfolio focused on making people’s lives easier, while committed to reducing the environmental impact throughout the value chain, from the conception of projects to the extinction or dismantling of a work. Our goal is to help shape an easier and happier world for citizens, leaving a healthier and more sustainable future for new generations.”
“TECNIBERIA must continue to be a clear example of the role that civil society plays in favor of the common good, contributing a vocation of service to the progress of Spain through the generation of wealth and the creation of employment,” Joan Franco concluded his intervention.
At the event, it was highlighted that the contribution of engineers has been decisive in innovative methods of management, construction and financing so that today Spain enjoys indisputable recognition for its works, and it was indicated that the spirit of cooperation represents a great contribution to the plans. recovery of the economy in strategic sectors such as digitalization, energy transformation or new infrastructures.
