AGEINCO attended a knowledge transfer event at CITeec (University of A Coruña), where key research infrastructures and applied research capabilities were showcased, fostering collaboration between academia and industry.
This week, AGEINCO participated in a new session of the UDC Conecta programme, held at CITeec, the University of A Coruña’s leading research centre in the fields of civil engineering and building technology.
The event provided an opportunity to bring the centre’s main areas of activity closer to the business community, highlighting its work in the development of innovative solutions in fields such as materials, structures, maritime engineering, and sustainability, with a strong focus on knowledge transfer and the practical application of research in real-world projects.
During the visit, participants were able to explore some of CITeec’s most significant scientific and technological facilities, including the Construction Laboratory, where advanced testing of materials and construction systems is carried out, and the Wave Basin, a unique facility that enables the simulation of maritime conditions for the study of port and coastal infrastructure.
The event also showcased a range of technological capabilities, ongoing research projects, and collaboration opportunities, underlining the centre’s role as a key link between research and industry by facilitating the effective transfer of knowledge and innovation to the productive sector.
The session brought together a variety of organisations from the business and technology sectors, including Antea Group Spain & Latin America, Russula, and the OPTI Foundation, creating a valuable forum for dialogue and enabling the identification of synergies and potential areas of collaboration in innovation, technological development, and joint projects.
AGEINCO highly values initiatives of this kind, which contribute to strengthening knowledge transfer, promoting applied innovation, and aligning scientific and technological capabilities with the real needs of companies operating in the sector.
In this regard, AGEINCO would like to highlight the outstanding work carried out by CITeec, which has established itself as a benchmark in applied research and as a strategic partner in the development of innovative engineering solutions.
This participation forms part of AGEINCO’s commitment to fostering Galicia’s innovation ecosystem by promoting collaboration between companies, technology centres, and universities, and contributing to the development of a more competitive, sustainable, and knowledge-driven sector.
