AGEINCO attends the XIV San Telmo Award Ceremony

AGEINCO attended the XIV San Telmo Award Ceremony, organised by the Galician Association of Civil Engineers (Colegio de Ingenieros de Caminos, Canales y Puertos de Galicia), which took place on 21 May at the Barrié Foundation in A Coruña.

The event brought together representatives from the institutional, professional, and business sectors to recognise some of the most outstanding civil engineering projects carried out in Galicia. The ceremony was also attended by D.Hugo Morán Fernández, Secretary of State for the Environment, with whom AGEINCO representatives had the opportunity to meet and exchange views.

In this XIV edition, the main award was presented to the environmental dredging project of the O Burgo ría estuary sediments, while two runner-up distinctions were granted to the Lugo–Santiago Motorway (A-54) and the HALO Urban Footbridge and Elevator in Vigo.

The Lugo–Santiago Motorway (A-54) project received one of the runner-up awards, which was granted to Luis Héctor Gómez Carrión from TECYP as the project’s author. The diploma was collected by Javier Alonso Seoane, President of AGEINCO and representative of TECYP.

AGEINCO would like to extend its congratulations to TECYP, Luis Héctor Gómez Carrión, and Javier Alonso Seoane for this recognition, which highlights technical excellence, professional commitment, and the contribution of engineering to the development of key infrastructure projects in Galicia.

AGEINCO also congratulates all the professionals, organisations, and public administrations involved in the projects recognised in this edition of the San Telmo Awards. These achievements reflect the essential role of civil engineering in improving the territory, promoting sustainability, and enhancing the quality of life of citizens.

AGEINCO’s presence at this event reinforces its commitment to promoting engineering, consultancy, and technology services as strategic sectors for the economic, social, and territorial development of Galicia.
