On February 25, there was a training workshop for labor equality and promoting the presence of women in technology companies and other STEM areas, in which our member Susana Casal Mayo participated.
This workshop belongs to the aigualdadelaboral.gal space program of the General Secretariat of Employment and Labor Relations of the Department of Employment, Commerce and Emigration. A place designed to promote, raise awareness and train society in effective labor equality between men and women through courses, training actions and current information framed in different areas such as conciliation, workplace harassment, remuneration among many others.
For us, participation in these programs is important, since one of the strategic axes of our cluster is the promotion of female talent, with Susana being the leader of this challenge at AGEINCO.

From the Cluster we want to support these equality programs, since they are necessary in most sectors of the economy, but specifically in the engineering activity there is a shortage of female talent; According to the engineering observatory in Spain, only 20% of engineers are women. If we add to this that women’s access to management positions is still a minority in our country, the Cluster faces a great challenge of promoting a program that values female talent by organizing and participating in events that promote it.
